Dr. Maurath was born and raised in Oakley and was thrilled to return home in 2021 to serve the community he loves. He earned his undergraduate degree from Kansas State University in 2014—where he met his wife, Ally, whom he married in 2018. He went on to complete a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences at Kansas City University before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from A.T. Still University – Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health in 2021.

Dr. Maurath discovered his passion for dentistry in high school while shadowing Dr. Richard Loftus. That experience, combined with continued mentorship throughout college, solidified his path. Fulfilling a lifelong goal, he joined Dr. Loftus in Oakley after graduation. Returning to a rural community in need of dental care has allowed him to provide a wide range of services to patients of all ages.

Outside the office, Dr. Maurath enjoys spending time with Ally and their three children-Gianna, Leo, and Sophia. He also loves skiing, woodworking, and cheering on the K-State Wildcats.
